Jailbreak the iPhone 4S on 5.0 or 5.0.1 firmware

- iPhone 4S only.
- Must already be on 5.0 or 5.0.1 firmware (9A405/9A406).
- I used OS X 10.7.4.
- I used iTunes 10.6.1.

This method could cease to work should Apple block this in a new firmware update. This won't necessarily last forever.
Step 1.
Download redsn0w 0.9.11b1 or later here. Decompress the zip file and a folder will appear. Drag the application into your Mac's Applications folder. Overwrite any previous versions.
Step 2.
Launch redsn0w and click Jailbreak.
You'll see this next.
This pop up will appear.
On your iPhone you'll see this. Press the Install button. Press Install Now.
Press Next. Press Done.
Redsn0w will prepare the jailbreak.
You'll receive this pop up next.
Slide the VPN toggle to ON. It will connect.
You'll receive an error message which you can ignore. The VPN will then turn itself off.
You'll receive this pop up next.
You can now close Redsn0w.
